Prince Edward County is rapidly becoming a much sought after area of Southern Ontario. With beautiful established and up and coming wineries, the ocean-like waters of Lake Ontario kiss the white sandy beaches of the Sandbanks Provincial Park. Lined with plenty of charming local shops and restaurants that are scattered across the county, there is always something to see and explore.
In the County a friendly community will greet you. There are plenty of antique shops, trendy shopping, museums, fun cycling trails, theatre productions and quaint festivals. It is a rural hot spot for food and drink that have been making a mark on the map with places such as The Drake Devonshire, which offers an upscale experience and the most beautiful views of Lake Ontario, and the ever-changing menus at the County’s various restaurants. It has a growing craft beer scene, charming bed and breakfasts, and friendly farm stands throughout the scenic county roads selling fresh fruit and local produce.
The homes in the County vary from beautiful century and Victorian homes, to small cottages and farmhouses. As the demographics of The County change, there is a growing trend of new concept designs that are changing the architecture of the area. Many of the homes are being renovated and redesigned to compliment the evolution of the County and the tastes of the newcomers, both weekenders and fulltime residents.
